Lifestyle advisor and minimalist guru Becker narrates his how-to guide on learning to streamline one's home in order to better enjoy life. Becker envisions himself as a coach, encouraging others to shed clutter in order to embrace a cleaner existence, and he sounds like one. However, he doesn't sound like an experienced narrator; his pacing occasionally seems a little odd--too much pause here, too little there, in the manner of one giving a pep talk. Nonetheless, his messages on the why and how of decluttering are clear--and useful. His simple, specific insights--such as moving from a home's area to area, examining the individual challenges of different spaces--can assist people who want to begin but feel overwhelmed about where to make a start.
