      McCarthy's fans won't be disappointed by this fast-paced, steamy contemporary, the fourth installment of the Fast Track series (after 2010's Hot Finish). A 10-minute conversation clears up 10 years worth of heartache and regrets between former first loves Kendall Holbrook and Evan Monroe. Now both professional NASCAR drivers racing for the same team, with rookie Kendall striving to prove herself and Evan attempting to overcome a disappointing season, the reunited lovers don't make any wrong turns on their way to the bedroom. There are few tangible obstacles to their relationship, but Kendall must learn to trust her feelings for Evan, no matter what. McCarthy writes compelling characters and folds in plenty of humor as well as entertaining cameos by charismatic couples from previous books in the series.
